Despite the fact that John Denner was born without a right hand , he has become a world-class rock guitarist. He designed and patented a special arm sleeve with a pick at the end that allows him to play, and then spent countless hours, days, and weeks mastering the instrument, challenging himself even further.
In under six years since John has become a published guitarist with Hal Leonard Corporation, the world leader in the music print industry. The company produces sheet music, songbooks, and method book/CD packs for all instruments, as well as band and choral arrangements, reference books, instructional DVDs and videos, CD-ROMs and other music software, children's music products and more.
John is featured in the Hal Leonard Guitar Lesson DVD Legato Licks and Fretboard Tricks, and has appeared in several guitar magazines. He is also a featured guitar instructor at GuitarInstructor.com, alongside today's top guitarists like Larry Carlton, Danny Gatton, Buddy Guy, Brent Mason, Joe Walsh, and Joe Bonamassa to name just a few. John was thrilled to have been a guest on the Howard Stern Radio Show, and is proud to have played onstage with Les Paul, the revered inventor of the electric guitar, at the Iridium Jazz Club in New York City. John is now working on movie and TV soundtracks and continues to share his story and message through guitar clinics, visiting local schools in the new england area to demonstrate how he is able to play guitar and share his story in hopes of being a role model for even just one child to make a difference.
